Field data that survives the trip back
A survey is only as good as its worst enumerator's worst day. HostMyForms re-checks every rule on the server, so an answer that broke the form's rules never enters the dataset, and a retry on a bad connection never creates a duplicate.
Sound familiar?
- Answers that break the rules because the browser let them through
- Duplicates from retries on patchy connections
- Totals and derived values computed later, by hand
- No proof of who answered, or when
How HostMyForms fits
- Rules enforced on the server
- Visibility, calculated fields, and cross-field validation run again on the frozen version for every submission. What is in the export is what the form allowed.
- Sections that repeat and grow
- One block per household member, per plot, per sample, with per-instance validation and running totals.
- Identified respondents, once per period
- Google or emailed codes identify who answered. Response policies allow once per person, or once per period, enforced on the server.
- Options from your master data
- District and block lists maintained once in workspace master data, with dependent filters so a block list follows the district.
A worked example
A crop-cutting survey
A dated campaign restricted to the enumerator list. Each response has a repeatable section per plot with area, crop, and yield, and a calculated total per farm. Enumerators are identified by an emailed code and may answer once per village. The analyst exports plots as rows and searches remarks for "pest damage" across every village.
On the roadmap for you
SMS one-time codes are next on the roadmap, so enumerators and respondents can be verified by mobile in the field.
